New POOL table

No, Not a Pooltable, but a Pool Table!

Found some rubbish at work in the form of an old HGV axle stand (Not used any more as it hasn't been assessed by Aus standards commission) and an old piece of chipboard that was in the skip, so I had the idea of joining them together and then the girls could mosaic the top with some broken tiles.

It didn't look good at the start...

It was just a bit of rough wood that we used a home-made compass to draw a circle, which we then cut out with a jigsaw.

We then drew our design of two seahorses, which we were going to use as a guide for the tiling.
The leg was a bit rusty, so we had to sand it down and paint it with primer and glossy black paint.

We then had a smashing time with pliers and tiles to make all the 'broken' pieces to stick on the wood.
It took ages to stick them all down as it kept raining and even HAILED (it was quite cold yesterday, Friday)

But today was a MUCH better day, so...

We finnished it!

What do you think?
