Jen Jen in Gin Gin

Last week, we went on another day with John. This time, up to Joolamar - NORTH NORTH of Perth, by our standards anyway - It was near a place called Gin Gin, where, at night, you can see the milky way!
We went Mud hopping this time, instead of dune-bashing!

We took the obligatory BBQ and snags, with pleanty of beer. This is John chatting to PP about going camping there in a couple of weeks. He even has a tent for us - watch this space!

John's mud seemed deeper than ours?

Jen Jen had a bath - in Mud and then we tried to see how far she'd go before falling over - we didn't try too hard!

Jase - John's son got in a bit of a pickle as he likes to try out his 4by. This ditch was deeper than his Cruiser, which he's jacked up to about 10 ft high!!

We got him out...

...Eventually! What a ball!

OUR 4WD first day of testing 'Jen-Jen'

I know - it's a strange name for a car, but Nutts was so upset at losing Bessy, we aksed her to name the new one......

We were invited to go on a day's drive with John from work and we had a BALL!
Some pics to show you what we mean...
Firstly, letting the stinky air out of the tyres to just 15psi - I normally keep them at 35psi!

Our companions and saviours for the day were John, with Sasha, the dog and John's Son & Daughter, Jason (we get everywhere! almost as many Jason's as there are Emilys?) and Mel. Mel took her own car - the hairdresser's Suzuki Vitara, which could hair-dress on the side of a mountain the way Mel handles it!!!
John reckons the only reason she bought it was to show the rest of us up! He's RIGHT!

We had to have a go at getting up didn't we?
John almost did it, but did I?

We stopped for a few snags - twice, as it so beautiful there. we even saw a Skink, that John accidently ran over, but no harm done! It just shrigged off the sand and went on - It WAS alive!

And we had SUCH a good day - we're gonna go back!

Mel and Jase showing off, going over a steep bit of dune!

Day trip to Mandurah for a coffee?

Day trip to Mandurah for a coffee?
You'd think we were mad, but it was such a beautiful day, and it was a DOTT (Duties other than teaching) day for both of us, it'd be rude not to, wouldn't it?

We found a little dighy that we'd like...

Found a little heart for PP to sit in...

And a general view that would be nice from the lounge???
What do you think?

Dressing up for guides night

The girlies had to dress up as different nationalities last week.
Can you guess which countries they were representing?
Nutts thought her character had to give the OK sign for some reason??
Maybe she thought they were called CringO...Ks

Noonie had her hair done like this as she had to demonstrate how intricate the hair was in her time as her character... and she wanted to show off anyway!!!
