Amazing evening in a tent...

Ah ha, but NOT camping this time!
Last night, we went to see Dralian, the new Cirque Du Soleil show that's sweeping the world by storm. Charlie and Tracey suggested last April that we save some money to see this and boy, are we glad we did!!!
It was FABULOUS!
Not your usual circus routine, but amazing effects, lighting, acts that defy physics and wonderful live music. Couldn't wish for more, so a Brill evening that ended quite late, but worth every cent!

This last clip is from you tube, but worth the wait to download it - It's BRILL! You won't believe what he does!

Recreational Skippers Ticket!!!

I did it!
Last Sunday, a few mates and I did our RST and passed!
We took 3 hours of tuition (dry) then an hour's exam before we headed to the Swan in the examiner's boat (a bit like the white one with the canopy below) where we had to conduct safety briefings, logon to sea rescue, leaving jetty, man over board, emergency stop, approach jetty and tie off, use markers and leads to navigate and finally log off sea rescue. All in a day's work, which results in me now being able to hire (or buy!) a boat that's over 6hp or 4.5KW in power, so I'll be taking you all water skiing when you come to see us!
Cheers!

Friday 13th!!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!

It's been 1 year and 1 day since we landing in the land of Oz, so we were looking forward to a party with a few friends...
...you know? Snags, Burgalars, Lamb etc on the Barby with some 'fair drinkum' wine n beer to wash it all down with?

Which is what we HAD! Fantastic evening with heaps of mates, and the kids in the pool on a warm evening with the sky on fire as the sun set...

...Oh, and Caity looking like this!

She was playing basket ball at school, fell over her laces, landed with her hands out and it started to hurt - A LOT, so off to Doc's, Xrays, back to Docs, bandaged and then today, Sat, off to Princess Margaret's Hospital for children (in the City) to have a half plaster put on - It's broken!
Still - better it happen 1 year and day rather than just 1 day into our life here???
She has to go back in 4 weeks for a checkup (from the neck-up!), so we'll keep you 'posted'!

Our 1st Aussie Day

Well, it seems this blogging lark is bext left to those who can??? lol
Last Monday (26th) was our first Australia Day and Perth knows how to celebrate with what they call 'Skyworks', which is just a huge airshow / fireworks display.

This is one of the choppers, dragging a 'small' flag of the great nation, which everyone cheers to, as if the pilot can hear??? The drag on the flying skills of this guy must be enormous!

Noonie in her refinery. She didn't want anything on her cheeks, so just a tattoo on her neck and arms.

Nutly and Carly were a bit more adventurous? Carly's NOT miserable (far from it actually!) she's just stuffed 2 marshmallows in!!!

The group of us having a good time with no alcohol allowed!!!
(Only if you hide it in lemonade cans!)

Weired, what Glow sticks do to your photos, and she was standing perfectly still too!!!

Getting ready for the sky to light up, now it's gone dark!
(Does that make sense?)
At last - These went on for over half an hour! Brill!
Happy Ozzie Day!
