Easter Day at Gundaring...

It's 4:36pm and we've spent all day at the house.

We were up 1/2 the night with the 'neighbours' (Don't start singing!) party. The boys had a little too much 'amber nectar' and had a bit of scuff four doors up, so there was much to watch and hear!!!

We had a wonderful day in Freo yesterday - It was Fremantle Festival Weekend, so there were street performers doing their stuff all through capuccino strip (they closed it to traffic for the whole day!)

We saw, amongst others, girls spinning hula hoops and the guy pictured juggled knives whilst standing on a ladder, which was not held up by any one/thing! Amazing! There was also a trapeze artist, complete with mobile trapeze! They were all excellent shows that desrve more than 'street notoriety'!

We eventually today rose at 8.00am and had an unusual Brecky of eggs, bacon, pancakes and honey (we didn't have any maple syrup!) as they have in USA, but it didn't go down too well, so we'll not try that again!

By 9:30, we were in the front garden, weeding the bits that aren't lawn and then were ready for a dip in the pool as it was approaching 27 or 28 C. Loverly!

Lunch was a simple sarnie (damp from eating whilst floating in the pool) but enjoyable and needed as all this 'floating around' is exhausting!!!

We then read the Saturday papers (as we couldn't be arsed to get the Sunday ones!) and did some more pool aerobics (we have to stay fit!) I even found what the nozzle does by the spa jets! - It makes them go all 'bubbly' (Fizzy in fact) so we'll have more fun with that later!

More paper-reading, whilst PP prepared steak casserole for dinner, which we'll be watching with 'the biggest loser' (a 'fit' camp for 'large ozzies') which we have all become addicted to.

I note that we seem to be getting fitter without too much effort here, as we'll be cycling to the park (duck pond) again later with a bit of bread for them again.

Easter Monday 08 tomorrow, so more energetic shenanigans to come no doubt. (I hear its snowing in London, so look forward to seeing some pics to remind us of how it feels to be cold!)

New Car (again!)

We decided that the old bessy of a camry was too big, so have changed her for a new slim line model as shown in the video. (This video needs Quicktime Player as I filmed it on my phone (trying new ways) so you may need to download Quicktime from Apple to view it?) Hope you like it?

Feeding the Duckies

Had to take some bread to the lake yesterday for the duckies. They needed it too - by the way they surrounded us, you'd think they were starved!!

We'll be doing this again soon!

Major Predator found in garden!!!

We were really lucky today to escape with our lives...

...as a major predator was found in our back garden. It's enormous claws and canibalistic attitude were soon subdued by trained staff and calm settled around us once more.

See the pics below to see the beast in action...

...on Caity's arm!

Caity's birthday at Adventure World

We spent last Sunday (the 1st Sunday after Cait's b'day) at Adventure World. We took Steph along too (Nige and Karen's daighter) and had a BALL!
You can see that Noonie wasn't keen to ride ALL the rides, but Steph and Cait were up for it ALL!!!! That really IS them on that high ride!
More swimming and riding the high bikes, some 'Fairy Floss' and coffee for the biggies and we were all ready for swim back home in our pool!
How nice it is to spend time with children that are as good as your own!
Good on ya!

New House and starting school!

Yippee - We're in the new place and absolutely LOVE it. The pool is welcome when the girls come home from their bike ride to/from school.
They love their uniform, especially their hats!!! We're waiting for our furniture to arrive so we can deck out our new place - we even have TWO rooms that we don't know what to do with, so all of you considering coming out to see us can have the pick of the place!?! lol

Mr. G's Birthday!

Wow! What a loverly day!

We had a great day at Point Walter today with Charlie, Tracey and gang. Noge and karen were there too, so we all had a BBQ and picnic etc.

It was our (Nige & my) first time using a public Barbie, but Mr. G was very competent at using them and soon had us all filled to the brim.

We had cake and ice cream too, as it was a b'day party and the weather was quite kind as well - only 26 C today!

Mother's Day back in Blighty, so we ended up Skyping our folks when we got back to our holiday place, but not here for long now as we move to our rental next Friday!!! Yippee!

The picture of three of us is for John Evans if you're reading John?

This is just another day at the office, so how's YOUR new job?

Cheers, J,C and N

WE HAVE A HOUSE!!

We heard the good news yesterday from Rae at Kevin House (The agent), that we have secured our dream home (well, the first one anyway) for 6 months, but the owner has agreed to let it until Dec 08, with the possibility of selling it then, so we may even BUY it if we like it that much!!!

Enjoy the pics of our house, with the pool and the dark pic is of our 'dining room' (outside ofcourse!!!) so we'll need to buy a 'barby' to chuck those snaggers on!

See you all soon, as there's even a spare room! We pick up the keys on Caity's b'day so we'll take more pics and I'll post them then (when we get web access installed!)

Cheers.

Life on the beach

Well, A quieter day today, because we've looked at so many houses and have not been successful yet, but we're still going! We'd REALLY like the one in Gundaring, so cross your fingers and toes for us!?!
A few pics here of the beach at Rockingham. We didn't go too far in at the north end as there were some rather nice looking jelly fish, but further south, all was clear, so we had a cool off in the crystal clear waters.

House hunting

Hi, The House hunting continues and we've found this one that we'd LOVE to live in:

1st Pic is the general frontage. 2nd is the POOL! and the other house is the neighbour's, so we'll obviously be having partys there! The Lake is just around the corner too, so watch out duckies!!!

1st Days in Oz

Well, we've been here for 6 days now and feel like we're at home.

These pics are of us at our holiday rent = Cedar House, which is wonderful! Highly recommend it for any of you wanting to stay here, but not with us (as we don't have our own house yet!!!)

That's going to change soon - we're looking at eight today (Sunday) and another three tomorrow.

I'm also meeting with Geoff (my boss) tomorrow, so wish me luck.

PLEASE add a comment, cause it feels like I'm doing this for nothing otherwise???

Cheers,

Jcp, P, E n C

Singapore Airport is BRILLIANT!

HIGHLY recommend the long stay there!

Boomchicawowa!!! We have it!!!

Well - what can I say?
We actually have our visa!!!

Jodie called last Weds (2nd Jan 08) after her Xmas leave and said she hav two things for us...
... firstly, she had to apologise!!!
I thought "oh no!! what's gpne wrong?" "is there going to be MORE delays???"
but she said that she's apologising because no-one has checked her emails over Xmas and she has our visa!!!
Well, we HAD to open the Bolly there and then!
YIPPEE!
Now the real work starts and we have to sort the closing down here (UK) and the starting up of our new life in Perth.

Spoke to Charlie today and all is well on the job / lifestyle front. It was 44 degrees C in Perth on Boxing day (the highest ever recorded) but much cooler today @ 30!!!
So not long now - hopefully, only a few weeks to go and we'll be posting FROM Oz!

See you there, No Worries Mate!
